Chad Smith to keep working solo!

I posted yesterday that a rumor about the Red Hot Chili Peppers taking a break was going around. Well apparently this rumor was confirmed by billboard.com when they interviewed Chad Smith, drummer of the band. In the interview Chad said that they were taking a one year break from (which I think is good for them and bad for us lovers!). On the interview Smith said he can't sit still for too long and that he'll be working on some other projects while the band is on hiatus.
So if you are Chad's fan you're in luck cause you will get to see him more often. I'll let ya guys know if I learn something about any of Chad's projects so you can guys check it out!
If you want to check out what Chad has planned you can see the whole interview
HERE!

I am gonna be leaving you now. Take care and stay cool!!

Paramore Tour Cancellation

As many of you may have heard the Paramore guys recently cancelled their tour. According to Lead singer Hayley Williams blamed the cancellation to "internal issues" and said that they are taking some time to resolve these differences between them. Williams also apologized for the inconvenience this may have caused to their fans.

It's so sad to hear this is going on this group. I think they are an amazing group and they have the tools on their hands to keep going on for a long time. It's been a long time since we've heard a pop rock boys and girls band and I definetly wouldn't want this to end like No Doubt did. So everyone in the Paramore crew, get your act together and solve your "internal issues" cause your fans want to hear more from you guys. Don't quit , work your shit out!!!!
That's it for now guys
stay cool,

New Coldplay Album

Well the band Coldplay will be releasing a new album this summer. The project it's still on the works and it doesn't have a name yet.
The band's manager Dave Holmes told Billboard the band is also working on some ideas for the tour that will follow the release of what will be the band's 4ht album.
As I said in my blogspot website, there are many many good cds comming out this year, so Coldplay better release a great album cause they've got a lot of competition. Anyways I think it's time for them to release something fresh and new cause honestly I know everyone is tired of the same songs ! lol
See you around and stay cool!

Sad news regarding the Red Hot Chili Peppers

So So So Sad! People I have very Sad news for you ! I've heard rumors about the Red Hot Chili Peppers going on hiatus . According to a source the band will take a break for a year. I hope this is not true, I am so sorry to hear this cause this band is among the few good bands left. If they really are taking a break , I hope it's one year as they said, and not a break up.

Apparently the guys said they needed a break, and I honestly don't blame them cause they've had busy schedules since they started in the show business. I do hope they come back to give us more cause we are not tired of the Peppers. At least I am definetly not!

L-O-V-E U Guys

Best of You!

The Foo Fighters sued the Marvel company for copyright infringement because apparently the company used the band's songs "Best of You" and "Free Me" both of them from 2005 hit album "In Your Honor", for a TV Trailer without the band's permission.

I was shocked to hear this cause I mean it's hard to believe that company as big as Marvel Studios is doing stuff like this without any legal advice. I mean they wouldn't like it if anyone uses Wolverine's image the Spiderman name without their permission and without recieving any money for it.

So I am on the band's side, I think you should go on with the case cause it's not fair that somebody else is getting money out of something that took a lot of work for you guys!!

love everyone!

A.Davis

Fall Out Boy ; Fall Out Heroes!!!

Helloooo People!!!! Sorry that I haven't been updating this thing but I've had tons of stuff to do and I've been pretty busy. So anyways, I've got news regarding the Fall Out Boy !! Well apparently the band will be releasing a comic that will be out later this year. That's right the boys are transforming into cartoon characters. According to an internet source; the project consists on short stories that will be put on together on two big issues that will be in stores later this year.

Even though I have nothing agaisnt this project, and even though it would be nice to see the guys become cartoons, I still think it's a desperate poppy kinda move from the band (kinda like the Backstreet Boys/NSync thing!) But anyways maybe it turns out to be pretty great who knows.

I will leave you with a picture of the cartoons so you can see the resemblance between the guys and the cartoons (though I think Patrick looks way too skinny! LOL)

Well Love ya guys!

Music Network Fuse will air next February 19th at 11:00 p.m. a concert special starring the Foo Fighters. The show called Fuse Rocks the Garden: Foo Fighters, will be aired from Madison Square Garden and it'll be shot in High Definition and commercial free.

This is the first time the 6-time grammy winer band performs at the famous arena. I hope everything goes excellent for them. I wished I could see it but our my cable provider doesn't have Fuse among the channel list. So, I'll have to wait to watch clips on youtube. So, those of you who have the network please write me and let me know how was it.

Double Talkin' Jive

Well people this is a little part of an interview to Slash. In this interview, the famous guitarrist talks about his autobiography, his relationship with Axl Rose and the rest of the Guns N' Roses band members, and about the band's new album "Chinese Democracy".

If you want to read the whole interview you can access

http://www.210sa.com/content/view/3654/. I know you'll enjoy it cause it was a very good interview and Slash seemed to give pretty smart answers to every question.

See you around!

Right Next Door to Hell

I have to say Kudos for Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses lead singer)!!!!!! The artist helped his neighbor save her house from a fire it was going to destroy the Malibu mansion. According to Rose's neighbor he came out and helped her save her house from California's wildfires, he also helped the firefighters hose down the entire house.

Now this shows how down -to -earth is Axl, cause not every celebrity would've risked his/her life to help a neighbor, or anyone at all. This was a very nice and brave act of Mr. Rose. I really wish all celebrities were like that!!!

Hey There Delilah

The Plain White T's announced the launching of the Deluxe edition of their hit album "Every Second Counts". The cd will include exclusive live acoustic performances. So if you still don't own a copy of this album I recommend you go get, but if you already have just download the acoustic songs from itunes cause besides the live songs, there won't be any difference between the 2 albums .
Take Care u guys,
A. Davis

Welcome to the Jungle

Good news to all of the Guns N' Roses fans. The new album "Chinese Democracy" will be released this year. According to Axl Rose (lead singer of the band) the band has finally completed long-waited album since last December and now they are expecting to release it sometime this year.

It took the band 15 years to work on this project, which will be the first studio album since 1993 when they released "The Spaghetti Incident"
I hope this cd is good cause we have been waiting too long for this album to come out. The band has pushed back the release date several times, so I hope this time it's for real.
Anyways I think this might increase the chances of the band going on tour this year. So I really think this might be the year for Guns N' Roses.
stay cool,
A. Davis

When The Day Met The Night

Just like I said, here I am with the Panic at the Disco Video. I think the video was a bit disturbing but it was fun! The guys seemed to be having fun while filming. Even though it was weird I really think it was funny and cool. Besides who says the Panic guys are normal?
I have to say that the dream/circus /goofy concept was really cool. The guys outfit were pretty dorky but they looked so funny in it. The individual scenes in the bedrooms was fantastic cause I think it shows a little bit of each of the band members' personality.
Apparently the guys had so much fun filming the video for "Nine In The Afternoon", they decided to start filming the second video. The song they picked was "That Green Gentleman". The guys started filming the video today.
I wil leave you for now with the video, hope you enjoy it!
Stay cool guys!

Rock and Roll: Online Petition for Led Zeppelin Tour!!!

An online petition to get Led Zeppelin to go on a world tour has been made by a group of fans in the campaign website youchoose.net

Apparently the band's fans are furious because the band's only concert was in London.

More than 8,000 fans already signed the online petition.

The people that organized this campaign claim they're in touch with the band's promoter who says he's very excited about the response.

So if you're a a Led Zeppelin fan and you still haven't signed the petition you can do it on:
www.youchoose.net/campaign/led_zeppelin_world_tour#campaignnodetab

Please please please do it!!!

Well hope to see you around!

Ain't it Fun

For all of you Guns N' Roses fans I would like to let ya'll know that there's a rumor going around that the band might be going on tour this year. Now I don't know if this information is true or not but I promise I will keep you guys posted as soon as I hear something about it.
I do hope it's true, you gotta love those guys!

See ya around!
A.Davis

Bang The Doldrums

Seems to me that there are other groups with full agendas. This time I am talking about the emo rock band Fall Out Boy who will release not 1 but 2 albums this year.

The first album will be a Live album that will be released on April 1st, 2008. Lets see how that turns out to be, but I think it's pretty amazing. I hope they also release a DVD of the tour.

The second album is just a rumor, nothing for sure, but the band told Rolling Stone Magazine last October they had "an album's worth of material" and that they also planned to release a new studio album this year.

Let's hope the rumors are true, because I am sure we could all use a little bit more FOB!

That's it for now guys, checking out for today!

See you around,
A. Davis

For a Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic

I can't believe Paramore didn't win the award for Best New Artist, they sooo deserved that award and not Amy Winehouse. I mean I have to admit Winehouse has a good voice and everything but her album pretty much sucks. I've heard both Paramore's and Amy Winehouse's cd and so think that award was for them. But it'll probably be the next time. I am sure the band has a great sound and they have the potential to win many many awards.
So for the band I am so proud of you guys and for the fans, It'll be next time!

See you around,

A. Davis

The Pretender

I just have to say congratulations to the Foo Fighters for winning the Best Rock Album on the
Grammy Awards, and for their performance at the ceremony. It was the best appearance of the night they were awesome!

I also want to congratulate Anne Marie Calhoun, winner of the My Grammy Moment contest sponsored by YouTube. She gave quite the show. The mix between the Foo Fighters' music and the smooth sound of her violin were a winner!

Anyways I'll leave you with Anne Marie's audition video so you can see how great she plays, and as soon as I have the performance video I will be posting it.
See ya'll !
A. Davis

Pretty.Odd

As you can see by the titles of my posts, I am a Panic at the Disco fan. And since the band has a new cd coming out on March, I just thought it would be kinda fun to dedicate this first blog to them!!!!!!

WOW! New album, new tour and who knows what else; seems to me this is going to be a very busy year for the Panic at the Disco guys. The guys' hectic agenda starts on March 25 with the release of their sophomore album Pretty.Odd. Ryan Ross (member of the band) says this album will reveal the band's real identity since the past album A Fever You Can't Sweat Out "sounded more like another band." So for all of you lovers, here I have the track list for the new album (thanks to itunes)
1. We're So Starving
2. Nine in The Afternoon
3. She's a Handsome Woman
4. Do You Know What I'm Seeing?
5. That Green Gentleman
6. I Have Friends In Holy Spaces
7. Northern Downpour
8. When The Day Met The Night
10. The Piano Knows Something I Don't Know
11. Behind The Sea
12. Folkin' Around
13. She Had The World
14. From A Mountain In The Middle Of The Cabins
15. Mad as Rabbits

The first single Nine in the Afternoon is already out (if you haven't heard it I really recommend you go to itunes and download it, or you can visit the band's myspace and listen to it. www.myspace.com/panicatthedisco). The premiere of this video will be tonight (Sunday February 10th , 2008) at 9:00 p.m. on MTV's website. I saw some clips for the video and it actually looks like the guys are not going to disappoint us with it. The song is pretty good, has a very good rhythm, the guys' voice sound fresh, you can actually hear how much they've grown careerwise.

But seems like the band is not gonna be making sound changes only, apparently they have also made a change that has the fans all around the world going crazy. The band announced they were removing the exclamation point from the name. YES! (I don't see why people have gone so crazy about this but whatever!) Anyways...... they went from being Panic! at the Disco to Panic at the Disco (woohoo big change!). According to Ryan, the "! " wasn't really part of the name but people just started writing it that way which turned out to be "a little annoying to write that every time you're typing the name." Panic! or Panic I could really care less, I think they are still going to sound amazing!

The second big event for the band this year will be their Honda Civic Tour where they are gonna be the main event. The tour will be kicking off on April 10 in San Francisco, California and it'll be going around the US. Here is the official tour schedule for those of you who haven't seen it yet.
